SUBMITTING FILES

Designed something yourself? Here are some tips to make sure the artwork you submit is print-ready.

SUBMITTING FILES

Submitting your own files? If possible, please send your document or file as a press-ready PDF to the Art Department. If your file is too large to email, we recommend sending it to us through a free online service that allows you to upload large files, such as Dropbox or Hightail. You may also place the file on a Flash Drive or CD and bring it in.

Please send files as a press-ready PDF with fonts embedded. Most professional design programs allow you to export files as a press quality PDF. While we can usually convert files created in other programs, they may not appear correctly on our screens due to different fonts, software versions, and operating systems.

For more information about digital files and how to submit files to us, visit our Digital File Tips page or download our "Digital File Guidelines" below. If your files are incorrectly prepared for printing, you will be charged the starting shop rate of $60 an hour to make corrections. This may delay the processing of your job.

We are running Adobe InDesign 5.5, Photoshop 5.1 and Illustrator 5.1. If you are sending us native files in these formats but using a newer version of the software, be sure to save it as a version compatible with a lower version. (Otherwise we won’t be able to open it!)

OLYMPIC PRINTERS PDF PRESETS

Download these files to your desktop and double click on them. Adobe will automatically add them to your print presets. They should appear in your application under "Adobe PDF Presets". If your document does not contain bleed, please use the preset labeled "No Bleed." It is not guaranteed that these presets will work for everyone and all programs.
