Pre-Press Operator

We have an opening for a Pre-Press Operator at Olympic Printers. This position requires multitasking and organization as well as extreme attention to detail. This could be an entry level position for someone who is familiar with Adobe Creative Suite and wants to learn more about the printing world or an experienced designer that wants to learn more about printing and bindery. Olympic Printers is a family owned business with a small business atmosphere and a high level of production. We are a commercial printer serving the Olympic Peninsula and Puget Sound regions.

 

• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office

• Maintaining our digital files in an organized fashion

• Courteous, cooperative and professional attitude

• Punctual and efficient

• Excellent spelling and proofreading skills with attention to detail

• Strong customer service skills

• Typesetting and updating artwork in our files

• Simple graphic design work such as brochures, business cards, letterhead, flyers, post cards

• Setup customer files for printing on digital presses and for sending to vendors

• Proof artwork/printing for errors or missing information

• Ensure quality and speedy production of jobs

• Troubleshoot digital press machines and basic maintenance (replacing supplies), placing service calls when necessary

• Monitor and order supplies for digital presses

• Assist with answering phones, order entry, filing, bindery as needed
